Vincent Pratchett
There are three elements which have been constant throughout my life – martial arts, traveling, and writing. These three have been my refuge for as long as I can remember.
As a young man I journeyed overland across the Middle east and Asia through Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, India, and Nepal. I was fortunate to have walked in the footsteps of Alexander the Great, Genghis Khan, Marco Polo, and the Buddha himself.
I taught martial arts at the University of Guelph, in Ontario, Canada, and qigong at the Ontario College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Eventually, I moved to Hong Kong where I worked as a bouncer in a prominent night club for almost a year, before securing work in the film industry as an actor and stuntman.
After returning to Canada I became a professional firefighter and now reside in Toronto with my two children. I continue to work, train, teach, and to write.
